Teeth whitening
Teeth whitening begins with a consultation or check-up with the dentist, who can assess whether your teeth are suitable. The dentist checks that your enamel and gums are in good condition.
The Dental Clinic Hagens whitening kit
To help you achieve your desired result, we have put together a kit for whitening your teeth at home.
We begin by taking an impression of your teeth. Custom-made whitening trays are then produced. Your take-home kit contains:
- Your custom-made whitening trays
- A storage case
- Opalescence peroxide gel
- An instruction booklet
You wear the trays for a number of nights with a low concentration of peroxide gel. As whitening happens gradually, you can continue until the desired result is reached.
If you would like a touch-up later, the process can be repeated. This often takes only one or two nights. Opalescence whitening gel is also available separately at the practice.
Teeth Whitening & Bubbles
On 6 July 2019, we organised our first Teeth Whitening & Bubbles party in the practice garden. It was a great success. Representatives from White Dental Beauty answered questions about whitening. The preventive dental assistant polished teeth and took impressions, while whitening trays were made behind the scenes. Guests enjoyed drinks and snacks. Cosmetic physician M. Yalaniz from Doctorface.nl was also present to answer questions about Botox and fillers and to arrange appointments. After one and a half to two hours, the whitening kits, including some extras, were ready for guests to take home.

In-chair whitening
This method uses hydrogen peroxide. Whitening with hydrogen peroxide requires a dentist to be present, and lower concentrations of peroxide are used. In-chair whitening takes approximately two hours.
Opalescence Go
Opalescence Go consists of ready-made whitening trays that already contain gel. They can be used for a first whitening treatment or as a follow-up or touch-up treatment. Opalescence Go is a professional whitening treatment for use at home and is available without a prescription.
